Description

Sparsely branched shrublet up to 30cm. Leaves 4-6mm in diam; flowers in clusters, pink,15-25mm in diam; staminodes white (staminode: a rudimentary or sterile stamen); fruits 5-locular, 5-6mm in diam.

Greek: oxys = sharp, pointed, sepalum = sepal; referring to the pointed sepals of this species.

Habitat

Sandstone slopes, 200-1400m.
