Description

Sprawling or creeping annual or weak perennial, rooting along the stem. Leaves finely twice-divided, 20-50mm long; bears solitary, radiate flowerheads 20-50mm across, on long flower stalks, with yellow, orange or sometimes white rays, darker reverse, and a glossy central disc of dark florets; pappus comprises 5 scales and 5 bristles (pappus - ring of scales round top of the ovary outside the corolla).
