Description

Sprawling or creeping annual or weak perennial, rooting along the stem. Leaves finely twice-divided, 20-50mm long, lobes linear; bears solitary, radiate flowerheads 20-50mm across, on long flower stalks, with yellow, orange or sometimes white rays, darker reverse, and a glossy central disc; pappus comprises 5 scales and 5 bristles (pappus = ring of scales round top of the ovary outside the corolla), biseriate.
