Description

Sprawling hemiparasitic shrublet with trailing stems rooting at nodes. Leaves linear, pungent; flowers arranged in dense, terminal spikes, whitish, bracts with fringed margins.

Latin: frise, friser = to curl: referring to the fringed margins of the bracts of this species.

Sandstone slopes and flats, often seasonally damp or even saline
