Description

Hemiparasitic shrublet up to 40cm. Male and female flowers on separate plants. Leaves and bracts very much larger on female plants, spreading or ascending, lanceolate, keeled, longer than the flowers; flowers in spikes, greenish; fruits greenish.

Latin: frutex = a shrub or bush, -culus = diminutive; referring to the growth habit of this species.
