Description

Densely leafy, silvery-felted shrublet up to 60cm. Leaves paddle-shaped, ascending, imbricate; flowerheads hemispherical, discoid, few to several in terminal clusters; bracts conspicuous, papery, acute, white.

Greek: argyr-, silver, -opsis, appearance, resemblance: referring to silveryappearance of this species.

Habitat

Coastal slopes, sometimes on limestone
