Soft tufted perennial with variably shaped leaves. Basal leaves are lance-shaped and toothed while the upper leaves are narrow and deeply incised; mauve or white, tiny, densely packed flowers form a flowerhead up to 3cm across on long stems.

Often abundant in recently burnt veld.
