Description

Shrub up to 4m with smooth, hairless branches. Leaves narrowly-elliptic to heart-shaped; small yellowish flowers in short spikes subtended by broadly diamond-shaped bracts; style 4-winged and the anthers thick and fleshy with small pollen sacs near base.

Like Penaea mucronata but young stems glabrous, leaves elliptic to cordate.

Habitat

Damp sandstone slopes and streambanks
