Description

An introduced species. Often straggly, harshly bristly annual up to 30cm. Leaves are lobed or deeply cut; showy flowers are cream to pale-yellow with black centres, 25-40mm across; calyx has purple veins and becomes inflated as the fruit ripens.

Often in damp places.
