Description

Soft erect perennial with unbranched stems. Leaves, 20-30mm long are covered with sticky glandular hairs, lower leaves oblanceolate, stem leaves linear; beautiful, delicate flowers, rose-pink or white, have a dark centre; orange pollen. Plants derive part of their food requirements by digesting insects trapped by the sticky hairs.

Greek: drosos = dew; referring to the dewy, glistening leaf-glands of this genus.
