Description

Wiry, flexuose, untidy shrublet with tangled stems, up to 30cm. Leaves minute, triangular, adpressed to stems; small flowers, narrowly campanulate, white to pale-violet; filaments longer than anthers and inserted in lower half of tube.

Greek: siphon, tube, pipe; codon, crier's bell: referring to shape of corolla tube
