Description

Upright, greyish, dioecious shrublet (male and female flowers on separate plants), up to 1.5m. Leaves leathery, elliptical, sometimes tufted; bears white flowers, either in loose clusters in male plants, the females 1 or 2, with 4 petals.

Fruits dry and shuttle-shaped, the husk splitting into 2 halves.
