Description

Erect, branched shrublet up to 40cm. Leaves fleshy, pointed, opposite, ascending, usually with recurved hairs on margins; flowers star-like, in subsessile flat-topped clusters, cream-coloured to yellow-green, sometimes with a pink tinge, petals 20-32mm long.

Sweetly-scented in the evening.

Latin: crassus = thick: referring to the plant's fleshy leaves.
