Description

Dioecious shrub (male and female flowers on separate plants), hairless, resprouting, up to 70cm. Leaves are sessile (stalkless), oval, with a blunt point at the tip and fine-toothed edges; flowers are cream-coloured with female flowers borne singly in leaf axils and producing three-chambered capsules (seedpods); male flowers 4mm long, clustered, emerging beyond leaves.

Mainly rocky sandstone or limestone slopes
